The Raven

Once the spell took hold of the house, the little canary of the lady changed into a stately raven, seeds and sand turned into bones, some of them bones of the lost Lenore.

I originally chose the idea ‘crow in a birdcage’ but I was heavily inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s poem The Raven, which actually has a line that says ‘this home by horror haunted’, so it just HAD to be a raven instead! I could just hear him whisper “Nevermore…”
The bones are mainly made with homemade modelling chocolate, the raven is built from rice krispie treats, modelling chocolate, Renshaw fondant and Renshaw flower&modelling paste.
