Hey Now. I’m Heather Sherman and I am Art2Eat Cakes out of freaky Boulder Colorado, USA. I thrill in the weird, offbeat, the unxpected and sometimes the shocking. Naturally Sugar Spooks is one of my favorite Collaborations, as t allow us all to examine our collective unconcious, squeal in terrified glee together, and come closer as a result. Truly scary sweet, my favorite flavor

This year, when Avalon and Corinna requested NIGHTMARES, I had an entirely different design in mind. Hilariously, life conspired to trash that piece and instead give you a take you may not expect.

We all have deep, overthought horror when thinking of Consumption. Especially Consuming another Life. It drives some to attempt to disown this vital aspect of ourselves. But really, even if you are a Legendary Level Five Vegan, you still consume Life in order to live. It’s a fact. It’s inescapable. And until one forgives oneself for Consuming Another it becomes impossible to BE Consumed. That is, to Give of One’s Self FREELY. And Consumption is of course the Key to The Circle of All Life.

That’s why it is SO important to PAY ARTISTS!!! 😀

But funny enough this vision, a bowl of yummy nourishing soup, filled with tiny Beings, is Nightmarish to most. How do you think it tastes? Are they Sweet or Savory? Do they crunch? Is there a satisfying chewy center?? Mmmmmmmmm. Have a Slice! Savor the Horror…

Like Adam Driver says, “Good Soup”…

In Reality it is delicious Vanilla Pound cake with Chocolate Buttercream, covered in Caljava Fondant, Paints, and adorned those adorable, ready-to-go Gumpaste Flowers. Oh and maybe some drips of ‘blood’. And as always, Magic Colors & Dusts <3
