This piece was based on Rick Baker’s Eye of the Beholder makeup. This was his take on the classic Twilight Zone character. When I saw it, I knew it would make the perfect cake. I love painting skin, and this skin has some fun mottling and bruising that I was dying to paint. There’s also so much texture going on with the skin. All those folds and pinched skin were SO much fun to sculpt.
