Papa Legbo – Jacqui Kelly

About This Project

Papa Legbo – The Voodoo Baron

The necromancer travelled alone from the Louisiana bayou. Living his beliefs in a religion connected to nature, spirits, and ancestors.
Always in costume & character, he blended into the Carn-EVIL side show as one born to it, always on the outskirts, always on the prowl in the shadows with his unfathomable face and slithery snake.
Never to be trusted, never to relax in his presence, never to turn your back or cross him, lest you be hexed
… and never accept a charm or an amulet

Jacqui Kelly – Edible Art

I am the founder of Jacqui Kelly – Edible Art, a London based food & sugar studio specialising in bespoke edible art. I am a pastry chef, cake decorator, multi-gold medal sugar artist, International Judge and Show Host plus I’m Scottish with a wicked sense of humour. My work, be it larger than life or in miniature is renowned for its incredible attention to detail and hyper-realism.

Having been told not to play with my food: I now makes it my lives work to confuse and delight all the senses, using food as an art medium my artist flair and high impact works of art are designed to get people talking

I am proud to have been the team leader for the Guinness Book of World Records – world’s largest cake a whopping 10m x12m. Winner of Best in Show at Cake International 2014 London, Top 10 International Sugar Artist Award at the 2017 New York Cake Show, in 2018 I won the prestigious title of Professional Cake Decorator of the Year at Salon Culinaire Hotelympia and Cake Masters Top 10 UK Sugar Artists and in 2019 was recognised as a Five-star Sugar Artist by PME Knightsbrige one of only 20 artists worldwide.

I balance my time teaching cake decorating classes and 1-2-1’s worldwide, fulling amazing commissions for both my private and corporate clients
