Snowball Dance
Attention: Please step back and view this piece from a distance of a meter away; the fine details aren’t as fine as I had hoped, LOL!
This piece is of ELEVEN and MIKE from the magical final scene of Season Two of Stranger Things, in which they meet each other at their’s school’s Snowball Dance.
I did my best to capture Mike and Eleven’s deep feelings for each other; their friendship and love and strength through all their incredible experiences together.
In order to fully immerse myself in the setting and their characters, I must have rewatched this scene a thousand times, so much so that I can now report that I’ve actually had dreams of this Stranger Things moment in which I can repeatedly hear Eleven whispering “Mike…” as they kiss.
Capturing Eleven and Mike’s passion was very important to me, but it was not without some difficulties; their noses smashed into each other’s and I did accidentally drop the piece which felt like a disaster at the time —- but like Eleven and Mike, I did my best to overcome these obstacles and continued working in order to try to convey their wonderful connection!
