“It’s right behind you!” Said the blind medium while she was in a trance state. She was an old lady dressed in mourning whom talked with the dead in the mid nineteenth century. She was very popular in the evening tea parties, where the high class ladies used to invite her to conduct a spiritist séance. Illuminated by the soft glow of a candlelight she communicated with the unrested souls, starting with the same words: “Is anybody there?….” and there was always someone who answered, and sometimes she was able to see them.
